This game was getting sooo good i wish there was more. I had fun playing. Check out my video and let me know what you think i would really appreciate it.

Hello/
I really loved that prototype!
I'm a big fan of old survival horror games and here, we have a great potential. Good directing, cutscenes, voices, a MGS-like codec... I'll be more than happy if Endless Blue could become a full game.

Great Project! Love the classic survival horror games (Tank controls and all!) Not to mention that an underwater facility seems like such a perfect setting for a survival horror game! Good job! Hope to see more! (P.S. Great job with the voice acting! It really reminds me of the early days of video game voice acting!)

(+1)

Genuinely good, just wish it was longer! Never seen a jam game with an opening cinematic, so I'm willing to bet you can pull off the full project.

(+1)

Great fucking project. I'm a sucker for these kinds of PS1 style games

(+1)

Great work! Love the game. Wish I made a game like this back in the 90s :)

(+2)

Absolutely awesome, I really wanted to continue playing! I loved the animation, the graphics, the general aesthetics, the sountrack, the... everything! I really hope you consider continuing this project. I would consider plopping down some cash to see the full version.

(+3)

This is really good :) hope you consider making a longer, paid version.

I like how you set up interesting mysteries in a short amount of time. I wanna know more.

One thing I think is, the door animation takes too long. Maybe one turn of the handle is enough?

Thank you for making this, and have a nice day :)

(+2)

Thanks for your feedback! It's not mentioned explicitly in the game, but you can actually skip the door opening animations by pressing 'E' again.

I liked how the game ended, it made you question more. The style of the game presents all these mysterious video clips and you wonder how its all connected. The music is phenomenal, the art direction and cinematography felt Resident Evil inspired, but it felt like its own story not a rip off. It's clear that this isn't finished but I hope to see more of this game.

(+1)

I was thrown by the text to speech voice acting but otherwise an awesome short survival horror game that took the right influences from Resident Evil and Silent Hill! Good job! (Game starts at 13:50)

(+2)

So you should definitely take whoever composed your music and give them a big slobbery kiss (or a high five or whatever's appropriate) because those were some funky fresh tunes. Honestly I loved this playthrough. Even though this demo was relatively short, it's evident that you took a great deal envisioning the underwater facility, and I can tell by the notes left behind and the trailer at the beginning that you have a clear idea for a story in mind. Count me on the side of people who want to see much more of this game in the future!
(+2)

Thank you! I actually wrote the music myself, but I don't think anybody wants to see that slobbery kiss happen.

(+2)

I do *wink wink*

As soon as the first Door open I thought "Crap, Resident Evil". The only problem I saw was you could continue playing after the final dialogue making is seem like the game continues.

(+1)

Good demo!

Excuse my random intro ... but this game has me itch.io'n to see if there's going to be a full game. The resident evil vibe kept me drawn in and i think you really got something here! Nice job!

Side note: I was really bummed when it ended but the credits made up for it 1000%.

(+1)

Potential is probably overused on itch.io but I feel like here's a ton here, I like the polish, the janky voice acting... the setting. It's good at what it sets out to do but I'd love to see it really set itself apart in some way

Gameplay if you're interested:

(+1)

Loved it. Mysterious and intriguing. Even though I never played RE growing up, it still drew me in. Definitely wouldn't mind paying for the full story.

(+2)

Really excellent work! Everything is well polished and the direction is excellent. It feels very professional in all aspects. For non-vr projects remember to disable the Oculus and SteamVR plugins in UE4. I have no idea why Epic have them enabled by default but it launches SteamVR when you start the game because of it.

(+1)

I loved the style! The low poly models with somewhat realistic lighting make for an interesting contrast.

I did NOT expect the sequence during the credits lmao

(+1)

Hey! I did a big roundup on a bunch of games in the jam (including yours) with some thoughts on each. Figured I'd share it here for anyone interested!

(+1)

This looks amazing! You've really captured the old-school vibe. PLEASE keep going with this and add more enemies/more action. Love the VO too! It's obvious you put in a lot of hard work. Excellent job!

(+1)

Underwater...lost...no idea where we are... I must try and piece together the clues of what happened... But there is something wrong here...An evil lurks here and its not actually human...Will I make it out and survive the horrors??? Find out in this video.

Really looking forward to part 2. Thank you for making this.

Very cool looking so far. I like the little cutscenes.

(+1)

Great work! Can't wait to see more from you! This is clearly on the way to becoming a truly faithful recreation of games from this time.

(+1)

Extremely well put together, hoping for a full release :-D

This game took me back to the 90s where I played Playstation games like Resident Evil all day. Now I feel old!

(+1)

cool game like really cool i loved it so far

i had a fun time playing and recording it

check out my vid if you feel like it :)

Very nostalgic, I love the references, having grown up with PS1 Horror games like Parasite Eve 2, Resident Evil 2 and 3, Dino Crisis 1 (or 2?) and so on. My only priority-feedback is what I said in-video, incase you don't watch, is the warning that you definitely should remove the Medpack Red Cross symbol, they get anal when anyone uses that symbol, best to replace it earlier than later.

This was really cool! Very tight controls, nice looking graphics, and an interesting snippet of a backstory. I enjoyed my time playing this! Great work!

(+1)(-1)

This was awsome, Specially the dance scene on the end!

(+1)(-1)

This was awesome! So sad that it ended where it did, but looking forward to more! Love the nostalgia behind it all! Good job on that!

(+1)(-1)

This is pretty damn good, dude! I really like the cutscenes. I hope you keep going with this because it's badass already! Thanks!

(+1)(-1)

I loved this game and I really hope you continue it. Great mysterious beginning and leaves it at a cliffhanger.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Hello, you did a nice job, i made a video and some screenshots (feel free to add the screenshots to the page if you want)

This game was amazing. I love the classic 90's survival horror games. You did an incredible job and making this feel just like them. Cannot wait to see more of this!

Had trouble [in the beginning] with my keyboard controls [and it shows :o], but at one point got the hang of it, only to discover I could also make the character spin around with my mouse [and then nearly got killed at the end, because of it. Well, 1 day I'll learn]. As to the game itself, it is rich in detail, with nice sound effects that enhance the overall effects of tension. I'm looking forward to the real deal. Kudos to all involved.

Just finished playing and it's just fantastic. Amazing stuff~!🤿

Hii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The game presents really well the concept and story, making it interesting to the player :D

-The gameplay mechanics get really well mixed with the vibes and references from the PS1era and some of it's more recognizeable games. I personally dont like a lot the "tank controls" but in this case they are well handled and the camera placements are good enough to work perfectly with them.

-Visually the game has a nice HIGHres PS1 style with some really nice touches to give the game it's own personality.

Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards
